Higher Degree Research Committee

The Higher Degree Research Committee in the Faculty of Science promotes excellence in higher degree research within the Faculty. It operates as a forum for the sharing and dissemination of best practice in higher degree research and research supervision within the Faculty. It oversees higher degree research students's needs across the Faculty and also develops policy and strategies to recruit and develop higher quality research students.

Chair – Associate Dean, Higher Degree Research
Deputy Chair – Second Faculty Representative on University HDRC
Department Directors of each of the ten departments of the Faculty
Faculty HDR Manager
Representative from the Higher Degree Research Office
Two HDR candidates’ representatives
Representative from Macquarie Library
Secretary: Faculty HDR Co-ordinator

Minutes and related items from the Higher Degree Research Committee Meetings

Meetings are scheduled for the week following the University HDRC meeting, usually on the second Wednesday of the month. The meeting schedule also includes additional meetings for scholarship ranking.
