Would you like to help a Psychology Masters student with a project about job stress and academia?
Professor Mike Jones and Mia Ninio (a Macquarie University Masters in Organisational Psychology student) are conducting a research study to increase our understanding of how Emotional Intelligence effects the relationship between job stress and health-related consequences among academics. They are looking at academics as a number of studies have suggested a significant proportion of university staff are experiencing maladaptive levels of stress. As a Macquarie University academic, you are in an ideal position to give valuable first-hand information from your own perspective.
The online survey will take around 30 minutes. Your participation in the survey is completely voluntary and anonymous. All responses will be kept confidential. Your participation will be a valuable addition to the research and findings could lead to greater public understanding of emotional intelligence and job stress among academics. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email Mike Jones (mike.jones@mq.edu.au) or Mia Ninio (mia.ninio@students.mq.edu.au).

The maximum funding available for MQNS Grants is $20,000 over a 12 to 24 month period.
The purpose of the Macquarie Restart Grant scheme is to provide funding to Macquarie academics (appointed at any level) after parental leave of at least six months. Applications must be made within twelve months of the staff member’s return to normal duties. The maximum funding available for Restart Grants is $20,000 over a 12 month period.
