• Paraphrase

When you find an idea from a source that you think is useful try to write in your own words. Do not just change certain sentences, order of words and punctuation. Try to explain the idea yourself as you understand it. Never cut and paste from another's work.
  • Use Quotation Marks

If you need to include certain statements as they are from the source you found them use quotation marks to enclose them in and reference the source.
  • Cite your sources

Always remember to cite all the sources you used within a project even in cases where you rephrased some parts of the whole statements. REMEMBER to Keep a record of the sources used as you write your essay so as in the end it is easier to complete your bibliography or References list.
