This page explains the purpose of the progress reports that you are required to submit for ITEC808, ITEC809, ITEC810 and ITEC811.
An important part of doing any project is managing the resources involved, and when you are the only person on the project, that means managing your time.
Some people will already be experienced in time management, but others will not. To make sure that everyone keeps to schedule, or is at least very aware when their schedules have slipped, you are required to submit a brief progress report every week via the class Moodle website. This is in the form of a simple questionnaire with some tick boxes and some text boxes to fill in; the specific questions asked will vary a little through the course of the semester.
Very little; it's a very cheap way of encouraging yourself to keep on track. You need to submit a report every Friday by noon; your first report is due on the Friday of Week 1, i.e. Friday 7th August, and the last is due on Friday 13th November. Note that reports are also due on the two Fridays during recess, so you will need to submit 15 progress reports in all.
Each report should take you significantly less than 30 minutes to complete, unless you are really off-schedule, in which case you may want to take some additional time to post a revised schedule.
Note that you get 10 marks for your progress reports. You lose one mark for each progress report that has not been submitted by the specified deadline.
