A total of five marks are available to each student for active participation in the unit. You can participate in two ways: by contributing to the discussion forums on the Moodle website, and by contributing to class discussions. You are encourage to particpate in both ways, and to participate often.
At the beginning of the semester, you will be asked to introduce yourself to the rest of the class via the Moodle website; as part of that process, you are invited to upload a picture of yourself. It's in your interests to provide a decent quality headshot of yourself so that I get to know who you are early in the semester. Please don't be offended if I repeatedly ask your name: it's hard to remember the names of 25 people when you meet them for the first time all at once.
Marks for participation will be awarded at the end of semester.
