Old News
- August 7 If someone left a phone in the prac yesterday,
don't panic. It's safe. Please talk to me in the lecture tomorrow.
- August 1 Please remember to find Tutorial 1 (under Week by Week
below) and make sure you can answer all the questions there. The important
ones involve 2's complement. There are also questions about other
representations of negative numbers that you should look up. But if you
have trouble with the 2's complement you should talk to me. You're not
required to submit tutorial 1, but if you'd like to you may do so.
There is a box labelled "Comp226 assginments" on level 1 of E6A,
and you can write out (or type if you prefer) your answers and drop them
in there. Remember that over the semester you must submit at least 10
satisfactorily completed tutorial sheets, so why not get started now!
- July 31 I was asked about past exams (already!). You can
find several
past exams for comp226 in the library. (But don't worry
if they look a bit daunting just now! As long as you stay engaged and
do all the work (and think hard!), you'll be able to do those kinds of things
by the end of semester.)
- July 21 This page has now been updated for semester
2, 2012 teaching. It's somewhat different from last year.
We're always adjusting things to try to improve!
- July 2 No news yet. EXCEPT: The 226 site is still
under construction, so you should expect to get many "Not Found"
messages if you try looking around it. You may also get "You do
not have permission" messages. These usually mean that we have a
nearly final version of something, but we haven't released it yet.
Please be patient. (But also, if you think we should really have
released something by now, whenever "now" is, you might like to
email mike in case he's forgotten to reset permissions!)
- July 1 No old news yet.
