I started work in 1970 for the computer company ICL. Over the years I
have been a programmer, systems analyst, project leader and office
manager, all in the information systems area. In the early 1980s I
became a lecturer mainly in information systems, first at the
New South Wales Institute of Technology and then at Macquarie
University, Sydney, Australia. I retired from lecturing in 2007 but continue as an honorary research fellow in the computing department at Macquarie University. My research interests lie in logic and
artificial intelligence.

interests are: logic, belief revision, cognitive modelling, world music, classical music, jazz, art movies, action movies, good food.
Award
My PhD (2003) was supervised by Mike Johnson in the
department of computing, Macquarie University, Sydney. The thesis
title is Algebraic Aspects of Entailment: Approximation, Belief
Revision and Computability. It received the Vice Chancellor's commendation
for excellence.
