Your responsibilites

- in candidature management:

When you enrol as a research student, you automatically accept responsibility and obligations. Your primary responsibility to yourself is to complete the research at an appropriate standard, and complete your degree in a timely fashion.

The Macquarie University Code of Higher Degree Research (HDR) Practice and Code of Supervisory Practice, Section 4, outlines the guideslines for how to conduct research at Macquarie University. Please read the whole document via the following link.

- in occupational health and safety:

You are obliged to satisfy the Faculty that you are aware of the potential risks your research might pose to yourself, and that you can take reasonable steps to avoid those risks. It is mandatory that before undertaking any course or research related fieldwork that the appropriate Risk Assessment forms are filled out and approved by your Supervisor, Fieldwork Manager or Head of Department.

- in Human and Animal Ethics and Biosafety issues:

Please consult the Animal Ethics Committee, Human Ethics Committee and Biosafety Committee.
