Recent developments in Grothendieck duality

Grothendieck duality is an old subject, but until recently there hasn't really been a satisfactory approach. Both traditional methods to set up the subject have traditionally led to unpleasant complications.In this talk I'd like to explain new developments, starting with a 2008 paper by Avramov and Iyengar, which go a long way to cleaning up the subject.
