Prof. Leszek A. Maciaszek is an academic, researcher, industry consultant and author. He resides in Australia and in Poland. He obtained his MSc and PhD degrees in Informatics from University of Economics, Wroclaw, Poland (in 1972 and 1977, respectively). Between 1981 and 1984, he worked as an Associate Professor at Kuwait University. Prior to joining Macquarie University in 1991, he was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Wollongong (1985 - 90). He authored in excess of 140 publications, including books "Database Design and Implementation" (Prentice Hall, 1990, "Requirements Analysis and Systems Design", 3rd ed (Addison-Wesley 2007) and "Practical Software Engineering" (Addison-Wesley 2005), of which the Addison-Wesley titles were translated to Chinese, Russian and Italian. He initiated a number of international conferences, including ENASE (Evaluation of Novel Approaches to Software Engineering) www.enase.org Currently he holds the positions of an Honorary Research Fellow at Macquarie University in Sydney and the Director of Institute of Business Informatics and Head of Department of MIS Engineering at Wrocław University of Economics. | |||||||||||
